Manage Players

Difficulty modes

• Easy: No timer. 3 cards at start
• Normal: Countdown timer. Less time to obtain perks. 3 cards at start
• Hard: Countdown timer. 6 cards at start. Point loss when time's up. Costly perk abilities. Less obtainable perks.
• Gift Mode: Hard mode with free perks. Not available until certain game progress.

Connecting from a device

You can open guesstheyear.eu on your device and enter the code given on the main page. If the main page appears click on Client If there are connectivity issues, try reloading both host, and client webpages. Be on the same network with the host and the device. Generate a new room code with the refresh icon near the room code.

• Player has a device connected. Answer can be submitted on device.
• Player has no connected device. Only host can control.

Players

You can add and manage or new players by clicking Players. Removing players from lobby, only archives them. You can delete them at the archived players list.

Perks

Answering correctly multiple times gives you perk rounds. The placable card becomes colorful when this happens: Perk Round Look In normal and hard mode the perk can be obtain in only 20 sec. After the effect disappears you cannot get perk for the round. With perks you can help yourself by revealing the songs data, or even skip a song.

• Memorizer: Show you the already answered songs data on the cards. This is only available when you have at least one correctly answered year, as the other cards are generated in the begining of the game.
• Revealer: Removes the blur from the song playing.
• Skipper: Gives you another song. Can be used multiple times.

Thief mode

This feature is only available on connected devices. If you have at least 4 perks (8 in hard mode) you can steal other player's points by answering correctly before them. If the thief player's answer is incorrect the original player gets the point. !!! The thief can also steal the other's perks in perk rounds.
